Senior Fitness at Doylestown Gym

Our gym in Doylestown offers Silver Sneakers, a fitness program tailored especially for our friends who are 65 and older. Silver Sneakers is designed to boost health and keep our senior members feeling great, with each session lasting between 45-60 minutes.

Instructors keep things fresh with a variety of workouts that focus on both upper body exercise and low-impact cardio. This mix is great for building strength, enhancing flexibility, improving stamina, and making daily chores much easier to accomplish.

Don’t worry about packing your workout gear! Our Doylestown fitness center provides everything you need including hand-held weights, resistance tubes with handles, and a Silver Sneakers ball. Need a bit of help while exercising? We’ve got chairs handy for any sitting or standing exercises you might do.

Tailored Fitness for Seniors

Regular exercise is important for every age, but especially for seniors. Low-impact workouts,  like Silver Sneakers, are easy on shoulders, knees, and feet — and can be modified for every individual’s ability.

What’s important to know is that regular exercise helps keep the heart healthy, control blood sugar levels, and even ease arthritis pain. But it’s not just about the body. Exercise can lift your mood, reduce anxiety, keep your mind sharp, and give you more energy.
