Respect and Responsibilities

Ensuring a Safe, Comfortable Gym Experience

Cornerstone has set etiquette policies and procedures in place that we request of every person who uses the facilities. The policies and procedures help to ensure your safety, maintain your workout environment, and keep your experience here at Cornerstone one of the best parts of your day.
  • Please consult a personal trainer in order to assist you with the design of a personalized fitness plan. Physician consent may be required prior to starting a routine.
  • Please report any injuries sustained on the fitness floor or in a class to a trainer or instructor immediately upon occurrence.
  • Please report any equipment malfunctions to a trainer immediately so we may check the equipment safety and a repair work order form can be completed.

Gym Etiquette

Respect and courtesy are essential components of a comfortable, welcoming environment. Please respect the personal space of others, keep the equipment in its designated area, and if you’re resting between sets, allow other members to use the equipment.

After you’ve finished, please be courteous and wipe down the equipment and return any weights or accessories to the designated storage areas.

Cornerstone does not tolerate discrimination or harassment of any person on its premises based on race, national origin, ancestry, color, creed, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, age, disability, or any other basis protected by law. All members will have access to restroom and locker room facilities that correspond to their sincerely held, self-reported gender identity to the extent permitted by applicable law.

In accordance with state law, it is prohibited to take photographs or videos of another person in our club without their full knowledge and consent. We adhere to these rules to the best of our knowledge, and if you find yourself in a situation where you feel uncomfortable, please alert the general manager so that it can be addressed immediately.

We kindly request that cell phone conversations be avoided on the fitness floor. Instead, we encourage members to find a remote location within the club where they can use their phones without disturbing others.

For your safety and comfort, it is essential to wear appropriate footwear during workouts. Athletic shoes are required, and open-toed shoes are not permitted.

Teen Membership Policies

Teens ages 13+ are eligible for membership at Cornerstone Health & Fitness. However, all teens ages 13 – 15 years old must first complete a teen orientation appointment in order to have access to the fitness floor and group exercise classes for independent workouts. Cornerstone Health & Fitness has specific policies for our youth members to ensure that all programs are safe and effective and these will be reviewed during the teen appointment.

Inclement Weather Policies & State of Emergency Notices

Cornerstone is committed to remaining open during our normal operating hours and providing the many services used by our valued members. However, there will be instances where inclement weather (primarily snow and ice) may necessitate closing our clubs for either part or all of the day. In addition, certain services and class schedules may be revised.  We consider these decisions carefully and make them solely out of concern for the safety of our members and staff. During inclement weather, you are encouraged to check our website at www.cornerstoneclubs.com for the most updated information.

A Message from our Owner - Jim

In January of 1995, I followed my passion as a teenager and opened the first Cornerstone Club with one main goal in mind – to be a pillar of health and fitness in the Central Bucks community, a place where someone at any fitness level can walk through the doors and immediately feel a special energy and a sense of belonging.

Over the years, many of our members have stated that we have accomplished that goal – and so much more. On behalf of all of us at Cornerstone, I invite you to experience the special feeling and sense of health and happiness that our Cornerstone community provides.
