Have you ever had an idea show up when you weren’t looking for one?
Not while sitting down to solve a problem.
Not while concentrating.
Not while trying to figure something out.
Just… suddenly.
During a walk.
A drive.
The shower.
Waiting for an appointment.
Doing something routine that doesn’t require much thought.
And there it is.
A solution.
A reminder.
A realization.
Sometimes even an answer to a question you’ve been carrying around for days.
Which is interesting.
Because those moments usually arrive when we’re not actively searching for them.
They seem to appear when our attention finally has a little room to wander.
It makes you wonder…
How many good ideas arrive because we’re thinking…
and how many arrive because we’ve stopped?
Maybe that’s something the body is trying to tell us.
Not through words.
But through the quiet moments when our mind finally has a chance to catch up.
A feeling.
An idea.
A realization.
Something important that was there all along.
And maybe that’s why those unexpected thoughts can feel so satisfying.
Not because they came out of nowhere.
But because they finally had a chance to find us.
The next time one of those moments happens…
instead of wondering where the thought came from…
maybe the more interesting question is:
What finally gave it room to appear?
