A few weeks ago, it finally started to feel like spring.
The warmer air.
Longer days.
People outside again.
You could feel the shift.
And then-almost unexpectedly…
came the frost.
For a moment, it felt out of place.
Like winter had decided to make one last appearance.
But a few days later, something else became noticeable.
The trees still budded.
The grass kept growing.
The flowers that looked affected at first…began to recover.
Spring didn’t disappear.
It just experienced a colder stretch.
Maybe we’re not all that different.
Some weeks, things seem to flow naturally.
We feel more energized.
More motivated.
More like ourselves.
And other weeks?
Not so much.
Our routines change.
Sleep gets thrown off.
Schedules fill up.
Unexpected things show up.
And it’s easy to assume we’ve somehow lost momentum.
Like we’ve gone backwards.
Like we should be doing better than we are.
But maybe the body understands something we tend to overlook.
Not every day was meant to feel the same.
The body adjusts.
It responds to changing conditions.
Different demands.
Different seasons.
Sometimes with energy.
Sometimes with rest.
Sometimes by pushing forward.
Sometimes by slowing us down a little.
Not perfectly.
Just naturally.
And when we step back and look honestly at life,
most meaningful things seem to work that way.
Not in straight lines.
Not without interruptions.
Not without moments that feel a little colder than the ones before them.
And yet…
life still returns.
Quietly.
Gradually.
In its own time.
Sometimes, the frost passes.
And before long…
you notice signs of spring again.
About Our Body’s Story: We’re excited to introduce The Body’s Story, a weekly series from Cornerstone Clubs. Through reflective, story-driven posts, we explore how your body responds to movement, rest, stress, and daily habits—and what you can learn when you pause long enough to listen.
