Cardio & Fitness - Classes May Include Impact

Body Challenge – This all around workout uses various types of equipment and focuses on body weight exercises, balance and core stabilization in order to hit on all major muscles for sculpting and toning. Burn calories while protecting your feet and joints (not super high impact). Exercise modifications provided.

Cardio Core – Basic step and cardio blast intervals paired with serious core training that uses a variety of equipment.

Cardio Kickboxing – Kick stress in the butt as you redefine your body! This freestyle 60-minute cardio kickboxing class includes periodic drills using martial arts targets so that you can “test your skills” at kicking and punching. Join the fun and grow stronger in mind and body! No prior kickboxing experience required.

Cycling

This non-impact cardio workout on a stationary bike with a weighted flywheel uses speed and resistance to create an individualized level of intensity. Since participants choose their own speed and resistance, class intensity is self-determined. Cycle Express is the same great workout in just 45 minutes! Cycle Core Fusion consists of cycling and 15 minutes of back and ab exercises.

Cycle Prime – This 45 minute high intensity class will PRIME you for life. It’s cardio + conditioning: 20 minutes of HIIT cycling followed by 20 minutes of functional strength exercises. Think bikes, slam balls, dumbbells and body weight movements, all designed to push yourself to new limits.

Dance Fusion Plus – This class blends dance, fitness and fun! Rhythmic, athletic and creative choreography stimulates your memory, heart and overall body balance.  Includes concentrated traditional, weighted and functional exercises for strength and definition of arms and abs.

Evolve! – This is a high intensity interval class that will challenge and transform you so you EVOLVE into a better, fitter, stronger YOU! Cardio and strength intervals work every muscle in the body using slam balls, dumbbells, bikes, and more. For all levels.

Functional Barbell Strength – This progressive weight class includes a combination of barbells and free weights, focusing on  strength, bone Density, core and stability.  Proper form and technique will be addressed.

Group Active® – Group Active is an innovative one-hour workout that improves cardiovascular fitness, builds total-body strength, and enhances movement health for daily life. Inspiring music and supportive coaching will ensure you succeed with simple, athletic exercises that use dumbbells, body weight, and The STEP®.

Group Centergy® – Group Centergy is a perfect way to improve balance, mobility, flexibility, and strength. It puts back all that we take out and really centers your energy. It’s ideal to be your workout of choice or add it once a week to your current workouts to reinvigorate the mind and body.  Group Centergy 30 is a 30 minute version of the class with a greater emphasis on stretching and a little less on intense leg work.

Group Power® – Group Power will blast all your muscles with a high-rep weight training workout. Using an adjustable barbell, weight plates, and body weight, Group Power combines squats, lunges, presses, and curls with functional integrated exercises. Dynamic music and a motivating group atmosphere will get your heart rate up, make you sweat, and push you to a personal best! POWER UP! Group Power 45 is a 45 minute version of the workout for those a little short on time.

HIIT –  Basic is best with this 45-minute bodyweight only interval training class that will help you burn calories, improve tone and strength while improving your flexibility. Modified exercises available.

Interval Burn – This full body blast has it all with cardio and strength intervals to test your endurance limits!

Let’s Dance – Let’s Dance is a super fun, high energy, low impact dance workout for all ages.

Low Impact Circuit – This full body conditioning class involves strength, cardio and balance exercises performed in a circuit. Participants will cycle through several exercises with minimal rest in between each movement. Perfect for those over 50, beginners, or those who can’t do the high kicks and jumps anymore.

Low Impact Core – Go beyond crunches to get a true core workout—killer abs are just one of the many benefits of having a strong core! Improve your strength, stability, and mobility with upbeat core exercises that will get your blood pumping followed by a gentle stretch of all major muscle groups. Perfect for all ages and fitness levels including those over 50 and beginners.

Low Impact Workout – This fun, full body exercise class boosts metabolism and builds strength. Perfect for those over 50, beginners, or those who can’t do the high kicks and jumps anymore. 

Silver Sneakers Classic – Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of  movement and activities for daily living. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a Silver Sneakers ball are offered for resistance. A chair is available if needed for seated or standing support.  In the level 2 class, you will be encouraged to move without the assistance of a chair.

Step  – Step your way to a toned body with this fun, cardiovascular dance workout. Step combos will strengthen your hips and legs, while the last 10 minutes is spent on abdominal work to strengthen your core muscles for an overall workout.

Tighten ‘N Tone (TNT) – TNT is a group weight workout in the studio that is suitable for all fitness levels.  All major muscle groups will be targeted.

Zumba®  –  Combine high energy, international music with unique moves and combinations and dance away your worries. Zumba Toning adds a light resistance training component.  Zumba Express gives you all the fun in less time—just 45 minutes!  Zumba Gold® is a lower impact, beginner level Zumba class perfect for newcomers, seniors, etc.

Mind/Body

Barre Fitness – This exhilarating class will give you the long, lean muscles of a dancer by toning your seat, abs and arms, while strengthening your core. Highly effective exercises are performed at the ballet barre and on the floor. Barre Express is the same great class in 45 minutes!

Barrelates – Barrelates fuses the core strengthening and breathwork of a traditional Pilates Mat class with the exhilarating ballet-inspired and musically driven aspects found in Barre Fitness. This low-impact class will strengthen and lengthen all the major muscle groups in your body to tone your muscles, improve your posture, and support your joints. 

Basic Yoga – This class is designed for beginners, perfect if you are newer to yoga but unsure of what to expect. Here you will find basic yoga poses with simple sequences at a slow pace with thorough instruction.

Boot Camp Barre – Expand upon a traditional barre fitness class with a little something extra! This low-impact class combines the same great classic barre exercises with cardio intervals that will leave you feeling energized while still being gentle on your joints. Expect a slightly more intense barre experience!

Chair Yoga – Chair yoga is a gentle practice in which postures are performed while seated and/or with the aid of a chair. It is a great form of yoga for beginners, those who have trouble getting down on the floor or anyone who wants to focus on a gentle practice.

EnerChi – This class is a Silver Sneakers format that incorporates tai chi and qi-gong principles. You will learn the foundations of weight transfer, rhythmic movement and awareness of breath, and you will link forms together in a guided flow to help increase strength and vitality.

Fitness Yoga – Stress and tension will melt away as you work through poses that focus on core strength, posture, balance, range of motion and stretching, complementing your other fitness activities.

Hatha Yoga – Learn and practice basic to intermediate poses (asanas), alignment principles, breathing techniques and relaxation. Provides detailed instruction and offers the use of props for the option of more challenging intermediate poses. Modifications will be given to allow all members to safely participate.  

Iyengar Yoga – Iyengar is a form of hatha yoga that emphasizes precision and the details of alignment to achieve the maximum therapeutic benefits from the poses.  We will use props: blocks, belts, and bolsters to help us understand and deepen our poses. Please bring your own yoga blankets if you have them.  Iyengar Level 2 classes incorporate intermediate and advanced postures and are not suitable for beginner students or those with injuries.

Pilates Mat – Traditional Pilates Mat exercises that stretch and strengthen core musculature as well as the back, hips, thighs and glutes and exercises adapted from the Reformer and other Pilates apparatus are combined using the addition of small equipment.  Express is 45 minutes.

Pilates Mat Fusion – Get the best of both in this class which includes traditional Pilates mat exercises fused with classic flexibility training.

Restore & Renew – This class is a gentle and slow style of yoga that involves long passive holds in a series of restful poses. Participants are often supported by props to enhance or deepen their experience and achieve a state of total relaxation and release. 

Vinyasa Yoga –  A fluid, strong practice that incorporates more challenging poses as well as more complex sequencing, this class is suitable for those who are physically fit and have some yoga experience or basic understanding of yoga.  This class includes sun salutations and sometimes inversions and/or arm balances.  Vinyasa Level 2 classes incorporate intermediate and advanced postures into a nimble and vigorous sequence – a smooth continuous flow that will deepen your breathing, increase your strength and endurance and take you to the edge of your balance and flexibility. Not suitable for beginner students or those with injuries.

Yin Yoga – Yin is a meditative practice of long-held postures, designed to complement the more active (Vinyasa) style practice. This class opens the body to become more flexible while energizing the organ meridians.

Yoga Gently – This class is perfect for those looking for a softer, gentler approach to a yoga practice. Appropriate for all levels, including beginners and seniors who can get up and down from the floor without assistance. 

Yoga Flow – This is a practice where the body moves slowly into different yoga poses that challenge your strength and flexibility, while focusing on breath work and mindfulness. Accessible for all levels.
